If you are after a technically focussed piste performance improvement course using data from your Carv sensors coupled with locally based coaches who have skied in Meribel & Courchevel for 20+ seasons this is the trip for you! You will be skiing in small (6 person max) coaching groups and staying with like-minded skiers looking to work on making lasting improvements to your technique as well as improving your Carv metrics. Accommodation will be in 3 *and 4* hotels which are near each other building a strong camp feel for all participants both on and off the mountain.

6 day course length : Sunday - Friday with 6 days of coaching. We will ski from first lifts at 9am to 3pm on the 1st, 3rd and 5th day and on the other days up till lunch so you can practise on your own or with other group members to consolidate the skills learned from the days coaching sessions.
Experienced coaches : With a mix of race coaching, performance skiing and instructor training backgrounds.
Local knowledge : All coaches have 20+ seasons in Meribel and know the pistes and mountain restaurants extremely well.
Daily Video feedback : On the mountain during breaks.
Carv Metrics / Video Review : Individual 20 minute feedback and review sessions twice over the course of the week.
Personal online Video library : Download all your footage and track progress.
Small group size : No more than 6 skiers.
Low Season : Our camps are run during low season weeks in Les Trois Vallees with quieter than normal slopes.
We are based in the middle of the Three Valleys Meribel and will ski the Courchevel and Val Thorens areas as well. Meribel has access to all the high altitude skiing but doesn't suffer from high altitude hotel accommodation which can give sleepless nights.
Flexible accommodation options : Saturday check in with 7 nights B&B or Half board hotel accommodation in shared or single room. You can of course arrange your own accommodation and just join in on the course. For double occupancy, we will attempt to pair you with another participant (same gender). Please advise if there is a specific participant with whom you would like to share a room. If a roommate is unavailable within 8 weeks of departure, your lodging will default to Single occupancy and the price will adjust accordingly.

Skiing Level : This holiday is suitable for early advanced L8 to early expert L10 level skiers with typical daily Carv Ski:IQ scores of around 120 and higher. Focussed coaching designed for skiers looking to refine their skills base and raise their skiing performance with extensive use of challenging drills. Suggested Equipment : We recommend narrow waist piste performance skis with a turn radius of under 18M. Fat off piste skis, rockered skis or touring equipment are not best suited to get the most from this course. You can of course hire skis in resort.

USA and International travellers

If you've wanted to ski Europe, but have worried about language or arrangements, come ski with us. All instruction is in English with native English speakers originally from Scotland and England.

For any travellers with a large time difference, we recommend arriving a day or two ahead of time in order to adapt to the time change. Having extra rest days reduces your jet lag, normalises your sleep pattern, and makes for a better camp experience.

We can suggest itineraries in Geneva or Paris should you want to come out early to sight see and acclimatise prior to the camp.

Epic Pass holders : As you get a free 7 day pass to the Three Valleys take advantage of our Orientation day and maximise your skiing time on your trip to Europe. For your peace of mind we suggest purchasing Carre Neige piste rescue insurance online in advance and avoid the lift ticket lines (€49 for full season) or add to your lift pass at €3.50 per day when in resort.

*Epic Pass is accepted throughout Les 3 Vallées for lift access. This applies only to the full Epic Pass, and does not apply to any other discounted pass i.e Epic Local , Epic Day, nor Vail Resorts Employee Pass.

Although we will be based in the Meribel valley we may ski in the other two of the Three valleys on one or more days to take advantage of the terrain. A seven day full Three Valleys pass is required for this course and will be delivered to the chalet to avoid having to queue up at pass office if you take advantage of our pre booking service. This price is inclusive of local Piste rescue insurance (Carre Neige)

Minimum Numbers

Should the holiday have only 1 or 2 people attending we will run the course as an extended private session consisting of five 4 hour days and with 3 or more the scheduled course hours will apply.

Ski Area

Meribel, France is about two and a half hours from Geneva Airport and is at the heart of the Three Valleys, the world's largest ski area. A scenic town popular with the British, Meribel offers a vast range of skiing for all levels. As it is well linked with its sister resorts of Courchevel and Val Thorens you will be able to ski new runs every day during your holiday, and never be bored with the endless terrain available.

Coaching

The teaching will be comprised of 6 days split between 3 extended days (9:00-3:00) and 3 days (9:00-1:00) of coaching during the week. On the days when we finish at lunchtime you can practise on your own or with other group members to consolidate the skills learned from the days coaching sessions. To make the most of conditions in the Spring we will start promptly and try get on first lifts daily to take advantage of freshly groomed pistes.

This holiday is suitable for early advanced L8 to early expert L10 level skiers with typical daily Carv Ski:IQ scores of around 120 and higher. Focussed coaching designed for skiers looking to refine their skills base and raise their skiing performance with extensive use of challenging drills. Group size will be no more than SIX per coach. We will have video analysis and review sessions each day ideally done on the mountain during coffee breaks. Carv Metrics / Video individual review slots are typically held in an indoor picnic area located in the base lift complex. We pre-book a 20 minute slot with your coach on the 3rd and 5th day to review your Carv metrics and scores coupled and synced to a few of your runs we capture on phone video.

Transfers to the resort

Transfer to and from Geneva Airport is available by private minibus service. Please contact us to confirm transfer timings before you book your flights. As a rough guide look at flights arriving Geneva airport between 12:00-14:00 and no later than 15:30 on arrival day to ensure you arrive in time for dinner in the chalet. There may be a wait for others on different flights but our service is very reliable and well coordinated.

For the return journey please ensure your flight departs Geneva airport no earlier than noon.

Travel within the resort

Our hotel is very central and an easy walk to the main lift complex

There is a free resort shuttle bus service to get you anywhere within the Meribel valley and taxis are plentiful if you want to explore other villages or desire a late night out.
