Who are they for?
Our 2-hour Premium Private coaching sessions are for skiers at levels 4 - 10 on our ability scale. In a one-to-one private session (or with others from your own household) we will provide a completely dedicated coaching session, focusing on your ski development at a pace you are happy with. If you are a beginner or are looking for children's lessons please contact the Snow Centre directly for a range of options available for new skiers and youngsters.
Typical Private Coaching sessions
You will have 30 minutes on-slope time to do some warm up runs if you wish and then meet your coach at the appointed time on the slope. The session will begin with a discussion of what your goals are for that session along with any longer-term goals you may have. We will watch you ski for a couple of runs and then agree with you a plan for the skills you could work on. During the on-snow session we will suggest a number of ski drills and exercises to help you focus on the skills you are developing, offering individual feedback. While you are skiing, we will take a number of video clips, for analysis in the final part of the coaching session. At the end of the coaching session we will review your video footage. This is done in the comfort of the Snow Centres' cafe, with the video footage presented on a laptop computer so we can step through the video on a frame by frame basis.
What's Included
The session includes rental equipment hire (skis, boots, helmet), slope pass and two hours of coaching with video feedback. Your 2 hour slope pass is active 30 minutes before you meet your coach for your instruction (subject to slope opening times) and you are welcome to warm up on the slope prior to your session. Our usual meeting times are 10:30 for morning sessions and 1:00 or 1:30 for afternoons. On Tuesdays we have an early bird session that starts at 8:00.
Premium Private Coaching for groups
We can run sessions for families or groups of friends up to 4 people total for an additional £100 per person.

UK Coaching terms and conditionsBooking terms and conditions for Group Clinics and Private lessons at The Snow Centre - Hemel Hempstead Payment - All clinics and private lessons must be booked in advance and full payment made at the time of booking. Juniors - We are sorry but we do not accept bookings from under-16s for our group clinic lessons. Please contact us to discuss options if you would like to make a family booking as we can arrange private lessons for a group of family members. Ability level - All our coaching sessions in the UK, including group clinics and private coaching require a minimum ability of Level 4 on our ability scale. Cancellations - If you need to cancel and provide us with 7 days notice you will be refunded in full. If you need to cancel between 7 day and 48 hours of your lesson we will provide you with a full credit which can be applied against future courses. With less than 48 hours notice and up to 8am on the morning of your lesson we can offer a credit of 50% of the value of your booking. Please telephone us should you need to cancel with less than 48 hours notice. No shows - or cancellations after 8am on the day of your course are not refundable. Delays - If you are delayed due to traffic, weather, etc. please text or call your coach Scott 07979 500964 or Rob 07515 396137 with your estimated time of arrival. If you are on a group clinic just meet us on the slope when you arrive, if you can't find us on the slope we will be in the coffee bar on a break. If you are on a private lesson we are unable to delay your slope pass starting time but will ski with you until your pass expires. We cannot offer partial refunds for missing time on your course. Minimum Numbers - Should a single session group clinic have only one person booked on it we will run the course as an extended private 90-minute session on the slope with video review during a break in between. We find that with only one person, a full 2 hours on slope coaching session is too intense and counterproductive. Should a multiple session group clinic have only one person booked on it we will run the course as an extended private session consisting of a 90-minute session on the slope followed by video review and optional practice time on your own afterwards. We find that with only one person two full one on one coaching sessions are too intense and counterproductive. Your slope pass will remain valid for four hours and you can use the remaining time to practice and consolidate the mornings coaching on your own. Equipment Hire - Skis, boots, poles and helmets are included within your course fee. You are of course free to use your own equipment. Ski jackets / trousers can be hired from The Snow Centre at additional cost and gloves can be purchased on site.

Holidays terms and conditionsInside Out Skiing looks after your 'on-snow' experience, the ski course. We also provide a service to offer you a number of other services including accommodation and travel, pre-payment of lift passes and equipment hire amongst others. Therefore, the booking conditions have been split into two sections: · Ski Courses · Other Services If you have booked any Other Services please refer to the booking conditions for ‘Other Services'. These are also shown on the Inside Out Skiing website. Ski Courses Terms Ski course: Refers to all Inside Out Skiing courses as described on the Inside Out Skiing website. By booking a ski course either by telephone, post or email you will be agreeing to these booking conditions. If you are booking on behalf of others you will also be taking on responsibility that the other members of your group have read and agree to these booking conditions. Please read them carefully and if there is anything you are unsure about please contact us immediately. All the booking conditions along with information on our website, brochures and any letters or emails that you have received form the basis for your contract with Inside Out Skiing. Ability level All of our coaching holidays, including short breaks and week-long coaching holidays, will specify a minimum ability level that you must meet in order to book. Please ensure you meet that minimum standard by referring to our ability scale. If in doubt please contact us prior to booking. Liability Inside Out Skiing uses the services of instructors to provide the service as advertised on the Inside Out Skiing website. They are qualified through their governing body in the country in which they provide their service. Their membership through their professional organisation includes insurance to provide the services they have been qualified to deliver. They are not employees of Inside Out Skiing. Therefore, when under their care your contract is directly with them. Should you be involved in any dispute involving an instructor where the dispute involves insurance then this will be direct with the organisation that provides their insurance not Inside Out Skiing. In these booking conditions all mention of instructors are those that are working on behalf of Inside Out Skiing and not Inside Out Skiing employees. Prices Prices for accommodation and travel, where included, for our coaching holidays may increase in line changing exchange rates. Where this might happen any possible increases or surcharges will be shown clearly on our website. The cost of the ski coaching that we provide is guaranteed against any changes once you have booked. Booking and Paying For A Ski Course Out in the Alps A deposit payment is due on booking your coaching course outside the UK. You must make a coaching fee deposit payment to ensure your place on your coaching course. This deposit is fully refundable within 7 days of your payment for any reason to give you time to arrange for flights and accommodation, after 7 days it is non-refundable. Full payment of your coaching fee is required within 8 weeks of your coaching holiday. Your accommodation deposit and final payment due date is specified by our relevant accommodation partner for your specific holiday. Cancellation policy If you need to cancel a ski course that will be run outside the UK the following cancellation charges will apply. Within 29 - 56 days before departure date 50% of full course cost Within 0 - 28 days before departure date 100% of full course cost Please note that your coaching fee deposit is non-refundable after 7 days from your booking. Note: this cancellation policy is for the ski course only. If you have booked other services please see: Inside Out Skiing ‘Other Services Booking Conditions’. Refund policy In the event of Inside Out Skiing being unable to deliver the course as promised in the booking conditions, website and literature (for example due to staff illness or injury) we will refund on a pro rata basis any time missed or transfer missed time to a future course. In case of Injury/illness – You are strongly recommended to have holiday insurance in place in case of accident or injury. We cannot provide refunds due to injury/illness but should you be injured or take ill during a lesson with us we will provide your insurers with invoices and documentation so that you may make a claim with them. Refunds will be made by via bank transfer and you will need to supply us with your banking details prior to us making a refund. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours of receipt of your written claim. Course Only - With No Accommodation & Travel. On most weeks you can book the ski course and arrange all your own travel and accommodation. On some courses where we have had to guarantee hotel beds we may not be able to offer this option and you may have to book the accommodation on offer with the course. Minimum Ski Level On each course there is a minimum ski level. This is shown on the website page for each course. It can sometimes be difficult to judge your level and you may find that your ski level is below the minimum level for the course you have booked. Normally we are able to cater for this eventuality, however on rare occasions if this happens we may need to transfer you into another appropriate ski course with a ski school or arrange private instruction with another instructor in the resort. We will use the course fee paid to purchase lessons to the equivalent value. The lesson durations may therefore vary and may not be equivalent to the Inside Out Skiing ski course advertised. Group Sizes Maximum: Never more than 8 per coach with some courses having smaller group sizes. On-Snow Course Times Our courses we generally start at 9:15 but this is dependent on lift opening times and time of year. Times will be confirmed at the welcome evening. Welcome Evening on Out weeks On the evening before the Out ski course starts we hold a welcome meeting. This is normally at 7pm in the hotel/chalet where the majority of the course participants are staying. The exact location and time will be shown on your booking confirmation. This is an opportunity to meet the instructors and chat about your skiing level and aspirations. The instructors will also talk about the course, meeting times and any other relevant information. If you cannot attend the welcome meeting, please let one of the Inside Out Skiing representatives know. Use the contact numbers shown towards the end of these booking conditions. Off-Snow Activities As part of the ski course we also provide some off-snow sessions in the form of technical discussions and video analysis. The structure, duration and number of these sessions will vary from course to course. Groups & Ability Level We will try to work out the groups for the week based on your stated skiing level and our discussions at the welcome meeting. For the first session we divide everyone into groups based on either the information you have provided us with or by our recollection of your ability level from the previous time you skied with us. We will often move people around for the second session onwards in order to make sure groups are compatible. If you would like to move groups into a faster or slower moving group or a group that is tackling easier or more difficult terrain there is normally the possibility of doing this. If moving groups means going above the maximum number as advertised then this will not be possible. The instructors working on behalf of Inside Out Skiing will have the final decision of which group you should ski in. Mixed Level Ability Groups On some weeks when we have fewer groups there is the likelihood that the group will contain a mixed level of ability. This may mean working more technically, waiting for slower members of a group, allowing faster members of the group to go ahead, group members working on different aspects of their skiing, group members tackling different terrain. If you are a stronger member of the group it is vital that you are supportive of slower members. Also, if you are a slower member of the group then you must not let this affect your confidence. All the instructors are very skilled at developing performance whilst catering for variations in levels of ability. By booking an Inside Out Skiing ski course you will be accepting the possibility you may be in a group of a mixed level of ability. Skiing with friends and family If you are at different levels but would like to ski in the same group, we may be able to accommodate this. It will mean that the more experienced members of your party will ski in the group with the less experienced members of your party. We can only accommodate this request if the group remains under the maximum number of clients per group as advertised. Accepting Risk By booking an Inside Out Skiing course you will be taking advantage of a huge amount of experience and expertise. The instructors who work on behalf of Inside Out Skiing are very skilled at developing performance as described on the Inside Out Skiing website. The instructors are well trained in the safety aspects of skiing in the mountains. They can advise, help and lead you. However skiing involves an element of risk, which you must accept as inherent to the sport. You must take responsibility over your own actions and decisions when skiing on the mountain either by yourself or within an Inside Out Skiing group. It is known that accidents do happen as part of skiing. By booking on an Inside Out Skiing ski course you will be accepting the risk involved and accepting that an accident may happen. You will also be responsible for accepting whether to take part in any activity whether; an exercise, a particular technique, skiing a particular slope, skiing a particular speed, skiing particular snow textures. Inside Out Skiing and the instructors working on behalf of Inside Out Skiing cannot be held responsible for accidents. If at any point you wish to not take part in an activity for any reason then you must let the instructor know immediately. Responsibility And The FIS Code Of Conduct All skiers must ski in accordance with the ‘FIS Skier’s Code Of Conduct’. This is shown towards the later part of these booking conditions. Each member of the group has the responsibility to ski in accordance with these rules. Inside Out Skiing and the instructors working on behalf of Inside Out Skiing are not responsible for how each skier chooses to ski. If you are involved in an accident involving another member of the group Inside Out Skiing and the instructors working on behalf of Inside Out Skiing cannot be held responsible. On Snow Course Cancellation Due To Extreme Weather Occasionally due to extreme weather conditions all the ski lifts in the resort may be closed. If we are unable to run our on-snow training we will try to supplement this with other off-snow activities. The off-snow activities may not be to the equivalent time that the ski course is advertised. We cannot give refunds for any on-snow time missed due to lift closure. Check your insurance policy as it may cover you for lift closure. Opting Out If you think you may opt out of a session for any reason please aim to do so before the start of the session. If possible let the instructor working on behalf of Inside Out Skiing or an Inside Out Skiing representative know before-hand. If you choose to opt out during a session, the instructor will lead you to a safe place from where you can opt out. From this point you will be accepting all responsibility for yourself. Should you have an accident returning to your original destination this will be your responsibility. In certain situations when safety is an issue the instructor will inform you that opting out is not advised until the group reaches a safe place. If you choose to go against this advice you may seriously endanger yourself and others that may have to be called to your rescue should you get into trouble. Should you choose to opt out you will be taking full responsibility for yourself. Being Asked To Leave The Course If the instructor eels that you are skiing or behaving in a manner that either endangers yourself, other members of the group or public or causes disruption within the group, the instructor will ask you to adjust your skiing and / or behaviour accordingly. Failure to do so could result in being asked to leave the course. In this situation no refunds will be given. Course start times It is your holiday and we want to make sure you are having fun. Our courses are not “boot camps” but as a courtesy to others on the course we are fairly strict on meeting times to start each session. We will normally wait 5 minutes but if you are going to be late for whatever reason please call or text. Your Instructor may not be able to answer quickly during skiing lessons. If you are very late we may not be able to meet with you on the mountain due to safety reasons. Safety Equipment Helmets: Helmet wearing for adults is optional and purely an individual choice. We recommend the wearing of a safety helmet on all Inside Out Skiing ski courses based in the mountains. Falls can happen to any level of skier. All skiers may occasionally lose control and if you are a strong skier on one of our coaching clinics skiing at speed, a fall and failure to wear a helmet could lead to injury. Insurance It is your responsibility to make sure you have adequate insurance cover for the ski course you have booked on both for mountain rescue, injury and holiday curtailment. FIS Skiers Code of Conduct It is the responsibility of every skier whether skiing by themselves or in an Inside Out Skiing group to adhere to the FIS skiers Code of Conduct as listed below. Failure to do so, could lead to civil and criminal liability in the event of an accident. 1. Respect For Others Skiers must behave in such a way that they do not endanger or prejudice others. Skiers are responsible for their behaviour and their equipment. 2. Control Of Speed and Skiing Skiers must ski in control. They must adapt their speed and manner of skiing to their personal ability and to the prevailing conditions. 3. Choice Of Route Skiers coming from behind must choose their route so as to not endanger skiers ahead. In other words, the skier in front / below always has priority. 4. Overtaking Skiers may overtake other skiers above or below and to the right or the left, provided they leave enough space for the overtaken skier to make any voluntary or involuntary movement. 5. Entering And Starting Skiers entering a marked run or setting off must look up and down the run to make sure that they can do so without endangering themselves or others. 6. Stopping On The Piste Unless absolutely necessary, skiers must avoid stopping on the piste in narrow places or where visibility is restricted. After a fall in such a place the skier must move clear of the piste as soon as possible. 7. Climbing And Descending On Foot Whether climbing or descending on foot, Skiers must keep to the side of the piste. 8. Respect For Signs And Markings Skiers must respect all signs and markings. 9. Assistance At Accidents All skiers are duty-bound to assist. Hit and run offence in skiing will incur a criminal conviction similar to hit and run offence on the road. 10. Identification All skiers and witnesses, whether a responsible party or not, must exchange names and addresses following an accident. Complaints If you have any complaints please speak direct to the instructor or an Inside Out Skiing representative immediately during your ski course. They will help rectify the problem as soon as possible if they can. Failure to speak with anyone during your stay could invalidate any complaint you may choose to make after your return. If you are still unsatisfied on your return please write direct to Inside Out Skiing.
